Academy Award winning director, Quentin Tarantino, 46, hosted a pre-Oscar party at his home in Hollywood. Tarantino treated the cast of Inglourious Basterds to pizza, champagne and cupcakes while he took a spin at the turntables, playing 70's music.
The UK Press Associeation reported that Eli Roth, Christoph Waltz and Diane Kruger, were all in attendence and getting well sauced before their red carpet walk. Roth said ""It's truly a celebration, we're wasted - that's the only way to do the carpet - you don't want the filter on, you want to incinerate that filter of appropriate speech before you go down a carpet."
Christph Waltz, full on pizza and champaign was awarded an Oscar for Best Supporting Role for his performance as Col. Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds. The film was also nominated for Best Achievement in Cinematography, Robert Richardson; Best Achievement in Directing, Quentin Tarantino; Best Achievement in Editing, Sally Menke; Best Achievement in Sound, Michael Minkler, Tony Lamberti, Mark Ulano; Best Achievement in Sound Editing, Wylie Stateman; Best Motion Picture of the Year, Lawrence Bender; Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen, Quentin Tarantino.
I'd say that deserves one hell of a pizza party!
