Today I am bringing you the most pizzalicious guitars of the internet. Some are real some are real fake and some are real wack, but they are all pizzalicious. And I'm sure they all at some point combine, music, art, beer and pizza. Click images to enlarge. Image: Toddalert
First up we have the Grandiosa Metal Guitar. This guitar was crafted by Finnish guitar makers Amfisound Guitars (click for more pictures) as a prop for a Finnish TV commercial in 2009. It may please you to know that Grandiosa is the number one selling frozen pizza in Norway and they take this honor very seriously. The Grandiosa company is known for their popular commercials and even released two singles (which were also featured in commercials) that reached the top spot in Norwegian music charts. The first number one single was "Full Pakke" and the second was for "Respekt for Grandiosa."
Here is the commercial for Pizzaperjantai in which the Grandiosa Guitar is featured. Check out more pizzaliciousness after the jump.
Next up we have the guitar from the wall at Wonder Bar on Shrewsbury Street, Worcester, Massachusetts. I don't know anything about this place. Based on this photo from Barbstur, I would say they have exceptionally tacky decor, and maybe they can wail on this pizza axe. I like the pizza wheel cutter on the head stock. Nice touch.
This next guitar comes to us from Jonathan Zwickel and his blog on The Stranger. Zwickel judged a battle of the bands competition several years ago at a pizza place and posted this image to accompany his entry. Mr. Zwickel, where did you get this picture? It looks like this guitar could be sitting in your house right now? Where did it come from?
Finally we have some air guitar... eh... sort of. We all know that Little Caesar's is famous for their shaker board advertising. The company encourages shaker board holders to dance and go nuts and really put on a show to get the attention of passers by. LC even hosts a Shaker Board Competition. Just search "Little Caesar's shaker board" on YouTube and you are sure to find hours and hours of videos of these sign slinging specialists and their sweet moves. Image: www.Randork.com
Of course one shaker board surfer of YouTube stood out to me and that is Sam Thomas. Sam does an awesome job. Give that dude a raise. Here is a video of Sam in action (jump to :50) from Globesmeek. Sam, I think Björn Türoque would be proud. His air guitar shaker board is worn out!
